| Animal rights activists were arrested on May 21, 2008, during police raids on 23 houses and offices throughout Austria. The pretext was a 'suspect' by activists committed 31 crimes and offenses related to the business by promoting their campaign against fur clothing company Kleider Bauer, and most importantly - by the anti-terrorist section 278a - by creating a criminal group. Austrian prosecutors only after more than a year published a law. Repression against animal rights activists lasted three years, reflecting the political criminalization of social movements. |
